So, we all came over here on a little boat, ok our ancestors did, ok some of our ancestors walked over even before that, but that isn’t the point.
So, no one is actually from here.
No such thing as a true Native American.
That being said, we came, we saw, we everything out of greed and made up a bunch of laws that we thought would be a good ideal, and some that were not but again, not the point.
So now we have this big immigration issue were people are trying to come to America and do this and that saying that no one owns this country and we have no right to tell them to leave … or not come in the first place.
So, I got an e-mail saying a bunch of stuff but it stuck out to me.
Can I leave here and go anywhere les in the world and demand government aid? Demand them to speak English so that I can understand them?
Demand free healthcare, or money to open up my own business?
I have no problems with people coming here legally, but don’t we have enough criminals without others coming in illegally?
So, last night I was talking to my … wife’s brother’s wife … isn’t that like a 3rd cousin twice removed or something that always hurts my head … that is of Porto Rican decent. She was saying how she can’t even go there and walk around without fear in a few places and they always tell American’s to not leave the beaten path when ever they visit because it isn’t safe.
So, why do we hold that Porto Rico as a property of America?
They can come here but we can’t go there?
They can come and vote in and on our elections but if I go down there and speak my m and I will get stabbed?
So I am wondering, what did or do we get out of the deal?
I mean other then Ricky Martin and some other lovely people and of course the beautiful woman!
Hum … Mama Sita’s!

Jew doan unnerstan, man. Jew doan peeki-pani. That's the problem.
All kidding aside, the problem is that other cultures are just that, other cultures. We don't understand them and they don't understand us. It takes years to break down the stereotypes and prejudices just so you can begin to see the good in people from other cultures. No one wants to work that hard. We are a society of expedience and we don't figure that taking the time is worth the risk. Heck, we might just find out we like each other. No money in that!!! At least no money in that right away. It's faster to demand change than to change yourself.
So there!
