People should vote.
It is your right and so many people have fought and died to give you the right to say what is on your mind.
That being said, people have also fought and died to give you the right to sit on your butt and not vote too.
The big problems with elections are so many people lie and cheat to get their person into the winning spot.
Right now up north the Black Panthers have surrounded a few precincts to run off the mostly white voters.
Another man has found a way to vote over 5000 times.
So, what gives some people the right to stop others from doing and or getting what they want?
Next, my wife and I just got done reading the sample ballet and our heads were spinning trying to figure out what exactly it says.
You all can say what you wish about me not being the brightest, but she is bright.
They dance around the wording to make it sound this way and that so that in the end you not only don’t know what the ticket item is about but also if you want to vote for it or against it.
Don’t we have people who are supposed to read these things and decide if what it says makes since?
I have a simple thought on this … you know I have thoughts on most things and that’s why you all read this silly Blog and you know it … take it to a middle and or high school and ask the students to tell you what it says.
If a child doesn’t understand it that means that most adults will not either, and even more of the elderly might have anxiety attacks while trying to figure it out.
Anyway that we look at this though, tonight is going to be historic!
Either we get a Female in the White House or a non Caucasian.
My wife and I have decided that at this point either has plusses and minuses so who ever wins we can stand behind with little complaint so life is good.
I have a question though, lets say that McCain wins, and the he dies or something else happens to him so that he can’t take over office does his Vice take over as President Elect and then get sworn in?
Do you all also have fears of Obama winning and being assassinated?
So many people can’t get past the race issue and I think he will be targeted.
I am willing to bet that he has had a few attempts toward him already.
Gotta love fanatics and people who forget that America is a melting pot and that with each generation we are slowly becoming a nation of mixed blood and heritage.
The next issue is all of the people who will be bitching tomorrow and a few months down the line about the actions of the next President, Congress and/or all the other elected items … who didn’t get out and vote to stop it from happening.
Like me :(

I have loved this election season and the fact that, no matter what, American politics will have a different look, tomorrow, when we wake up. I think that has been part of my fascination with this entire process, this time around: we were part of history and it was exhilarating. I know how I'd like to see it all turn out and, if it does go that way, I hope I will have made a good choice and will have helped the country but, no matter what happens, I am thrilled we were all so involved and informed and participated and I'm sorry it isn't how we all act all the time. We are unique, on this planet, and we need to be grateful and show our gratitude by, at the very, very least, being informed and voting in every single election with our our whole hearts and minds and with a fervent desire to help improve everyone's situation through our conscientious voting. End of sermon. And everyone said, "Amen."
Many times this election things were said that were not only hurtful, but untrue. Last night both candidates were not only gracious, but classy. Why couldn't they be that way throughout? Well, truth be known, one was more professional than the other and that, in big part, was why the outcome was as it was.
Hopefully, that now that the election is over, all people in this country will be a little less racial and more understanding and helpful to each other. That is why we're here, isn't it???
"Amen"
