So, we are supposed to bail out the car industry now because they are going belly up.
This bothers me, a lot actually!
These companies have been told that they need to come up with more fuel friendly cars by the American government and keep saying that they can’t because it takes time.
Now we find out that in Europe they have had these vehicles for some time now because there government wouldn’t back down to them.
The major car companies are now going to bring these plans and models over to America and make it work.
A little to late if you ask me.
Another issue I am having is, does everyone remember when the carmaker unions went on strike to get more money because $32 an hour wasn’t good enough they needed $40?
The average starting pay up there is $24 an hour … go union!
This being said though, gives the employees an option, less money or no money and see what they choice?
These companies up there are taking away pensions of the people who have worked hard for years and earned what they are getting … if they can take away the little mans pension why not cancel the severance pay of the CEO who ran the company into the ground.
You know the guy who is getting 86Million as he is fired!
Back to the point though, this is just one area that we are helping the big guy who doesn’t know what he is doing.
If I run a small business and go belly up I loose out with nothing to show for it.
They do it and WAM, free money and we will make it all right.
The reason the Car industry is not doing so well is because other companies like Toyota are making a better car with more options, better gas, better warranties and lower costs.
The industry will not die, it will just get shuffled around so that someone else is making the money.
This is SO easy to fix people … STOP BEING SO DARN GREEDY!!!
I guess what I should be doing is opening my own business and taking all of the profit and my savings and giving it to the congress and senators so that in the end I will make millions … hum this isn’t that bad of an ideal actually now is it …
Excuse me as I go come up with ‘Some Dumb Name Here’ products line … how about glow in the dark flip flops … that’s dumb enough to work isn’t it?
This is just a quick rant … sucks to be you all to have to read it … all 3 of you …

What actually sucks is not the rant part, but the part that you are right about the subject of the rant. The commercial of the firemen in congress voting and passing bills (not really, it's a commercial), is pretty right on. "Easiest job I've ever had", is the tag line.
Seems to me also that if you don't have money you do without. That's how I live. That's how all my friends and family live. I guess we're doing something wrong.
