Saturday Morning …

My wife wondered off to some religious thing last night and left me all to myself.
I was left with little food and a crazed pony running around trying to bite my feet.
Things had to change so I jumped into my handy dandy little car and drove to visit my friends at UCF … Hijinks did ensue but that’s a different story!
So, then I came home, walked the insane pony and threw myself into the cold lonely bed reminding me of the time before I had my lovely wife and for the first time in a long time and in a new house that still feels strange I felt … WONFERFUL!
No one taking up the whole bed, trying to snuggle and pushing me off of the side, taking all of the comforter and best of all … well … ok it sucked I guess I have gotten used to it but I am trying to sound all cool but to be honest I was lonely.

So this morning, I awoke to a little horse bouncing around demanding that she needed to go sniff an anthill or something and making me get out of bed at the crack of dawn … or 9am as it might have been to others.

I came in and decided to watch TV.
Talk about disappointment!
Saturday mornings used to be the bomb-digity of good times, what happened?

It’s all little kids shows now.
Stupid vomit inducing computer generated trash!

Now I remember my mom not wanting me to watch Transformers or G.I. Joe and so many other things because they were violent but come on.
What happened to Cartoons?
Is this some government ploy to make children not want to sit inside and make them get outside and play in the sun?
If so cool, what about me though?
I NEED cartoons!
Anima is good and all but it just doesn’t hit the same spot.

So, we think it is Ok to have stupid mind numbing things for children and then throw them into shows like the new 90210 where in the opening screen a girl is in the truck with a guy, who we find out is not only not his girlfriend but we can’t see her head until he is done smiling.

We need a happy middle ground.
I vote COOL CARTOONS!!!

I also say that TEVO is great.
How about Parents actually sit down and watch or just fast forward through a show there kids want to watch and see what it is all about instead of trusting in what the TV producers think is good for children.

Grr … I want my cartoons back darn it!!!

When do you get the new baby pony?

Enjoy the piece and quiet while you have it.

Oh man, a Saturday morning with no good cartoons? We're on a decline, I tell you! Where is Tom Terrific and Mighty Manfred, the Wonder Dog, when they're needed?????
