Meet Pope!Once upon a time I was writing and doing a small, little, silly, stupid and bothersome comic strip called ‘Bars and Stripes’.
It was about 3 new recruits working in a Prison … I don’t know were I got the ideal it just kind of came to me one night at work.
Now, I have drawn the main character, Pope, over and over again over the years and I think he might be in need of more?
Or, could he be like one of the lost and forgotten toys of yesteryear? (Yesteryear looks like it is SO spelled wrong!)
Or is it time to bring back this silly little strip and put it out there for the masses?
Online Comic Strips are BIG!
I read more then a few and love them!
I wouldn’t even mind making others feel the same way I do when they looked over my silly creation as I do when I look over my favorites.
The dilemma I am having is not so much remaking the comic strip it’s more that if I do this I have to put more time, I don’t seem to have, into something else.
I would also have to buy a web page somewhere and then I would have to move my Blog over to that … then repost all of my blogs so far … see this is turning into something!
How would my Blog feel at that point?
It has gotten comfy and thinks it has a good home as it is … not visited by many people but still it’s own nice little place.
If it turns into something I will get my hopes up and then it will suck and be a total failure pushing me further and further into my recluse like nature.
Then I would also need to buy an animation program to run and create this thing … well I guess I could just scan it in with the scanner that would be easy.
I aints smart enough to figer one of dem programs out anyhows.
Then how many times would I update it?
I look every day to see if the comics I read have new versions posted.
I don’t think I can do that, wow a couple a week might be hard but then again once a week is WAY to few!
Tuesday and Thursday?
Monday, Wednesday and Friday?
O this is starting to hurt and I haven’t even done anything yet!!!
This is what is running through my head right now and I figured I would share.
On top of the house and moving and everything else, now I have to think about this silliness … O the joys of being me … as I said before though, I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Your idea is not far fetched. Remember someone made a million dollars with a 'pet rock'.
Go for it!!!! Then, support me and Mom in our old age (which is right now)!!!
Don't you have the originals, anymore? You could begin by posting them, which would relieve some of the stress of the sense of urgency of continually creating and allow you to start building up a collection of them. Just a thought. I would love to meet this guy!
